How to: Bypass jailbreak detection on Amazon Instant Video and other applications
If you didn't catch the report yesterday, Amazon came out with their new Instant Video streaming application that lets iPad users watch over 120,000 online or download them to watch offline later. Like some other applications Amazon was blocking jailbreakers from using the app, stating if you're jailbroken there's nothing they can do for you.
As we've came to expect, the jailbreak community once again comes to save the day. Fighting back against these restrictions is Cydia developer n00neimp0rtant with a tweak dubbed xCon; this allows users to bypass the detection of your jailbroken iPad so you can watch the videos without a problem.
If not with this new Amazon app, chances are you've ran into the same kind of jailbreak restriction with another app. With xCon you can say goodbye to those days; not only does this work with Amazon Instant Video, but with a long list of applications in the App Store. To get this tweak head over to the ModMyi repo in Cydia, after you install it just respring and enjoy hours of videos.
