Even though versions 2.0 are still in beta and not available in the App Store, @TrustYourTV has found a way to install them. Note that this method has only been tested and confirmed to work on iOS 6 beta 1. Head inside for the how to.
Downloads: Find My iPhone 2.0 beta – Find My Friends 2.0 beta
Step 1: Locate the IPAs on your computer and open as archive
Step 2: Open the “Payload" folder and delete the FindMyFriends.app and FindMyiPhone.app folders
Step 3: Replace them with the corresponding beta .app folders found in the downloaded .zip files.
Step 4: Drag and drop the “new” IPA files to iTunes.
Step 5: iTunes will prompt you about replacing the existing version with the new one. Of course, yes.
If for some reason your device doesn't sync them automatically, delete the two apps from your device and sync them fresh using iTunes. Enjoy!

That seems a bit complicated. You should be able to just drag the .app into iTunes and then resync your device. After all, the beta was *intended* for developers to be able to install it.
Actually Just dragging the Find My iPhone and Find My Friends over the app library in iTunes works fine. Thank you though for bringing up the topic
also you have to delete the app on your iOS device and then reinstall via iTunes
where can a non Dev find the .app at?
