How To: Install iOS 6 on Your iDevice Without A UDID Registration

The highly anticipated iOS 6 was unveiled yesterday at the WWDC and released as a beta version for developers. Unfortunately, that means that regular users will have to wait until the Fall to get the official iOS 6 release, or pay the $100 for a developer’s account. However, one we have just found a way to install iOS 6 on your idevice without needing a registered UDID! Head inside for more details:

Note: You will need to back-up your iOS device and do a fresh restore to iOS 5.1.1. in order for this method to work.

Step 1: Download iOS 6 beta 1 for your iOS device from the links below.

Step 2: Open up iTunes on your computer and plug in your idevice.

Step 3: Click on your idevice on the left panel. Then hold down on the Option (or Shift for Windows users) button and click on “Check for Update” on the main panel.



Step 4: Select the IPSW of IOS 6 beta 1 that you downloaded and let it run (will take a few minutes).

Step 5: Congrats! Your idevice is now running iOS 6 beta! Enjoy!
