respring issue

i had the booksstand tweak installed. but i removed it to hide newsstand altogther instead. but now some of my books pop up on the springboard after a respring or reboot. to be more specific images of the covers pop up as if they are apps, i cant open them from the image but i can delete them in wiggle mode. i have removed the books. i have removed the dummy list in ibooks that booksstand used. i have gone through ifile and deletd the purchase lists and delete lists from ibooks. and have also deleted the jpeg images of the covers. yet they still pop up evertyime i respring. anything i can do? id like to avoid unjailbreaking and rejailbreaking if possible.

Wow so many helpful replies.
I finally solved it, the books covers were located in raw filesystem in the applications folders. I has to use i fun box as they did not show up in iTunes. Hope this helps anybody else that may have this issue in the future
