Long story short my girlfriend had this shiny iphone,she droped it and the screen cracked. Me being the investigator that i was looked into how to replace the screen. I ordered a replacement and attempted to fix it. I almost got the lcd on except the digitizer connector snapped and now its useless. I tried putting back on her cracked screen but now its messed up even more. She is now pissed because all of her information,text and music is on the phone and she is afraid she will never get it back. My theory is that since it was only the digitizer that messed up. Wouldnt it be possible to just plug back in the battery and hook it up to the computer to drag the text,music and pics off the phone and put it on the new one(Im buying her a replacement iphone 4) tomorrow? Is there an program that doesnt require me to use the phone to get things off the hard drive? Please help! The phone is fully stripped and i was hoping i could pop back in the battery and plug it in the USB and the information will be able to be dragged off of the device.
Plugin the phone and use iTunes to back it up, then restore that backup to the new phone,
Does this require me to reassemble it fully or can i just hook up the battery?
You can try just putting in the battery, I'm not sure.
Alright I really appreciate you helping me this late at night. Also I already have music showing up in my itunes. Will that interfere with the backup?
