i was wondering, how can i jailbreak + unlock the iphone4 of my niece?
Se has the following information :

Firmware: 5.1.1 (9b206)
modemfirmware aka baseband 04.12.01 ?

Se has allot of pictures etd, so i must use a full back-up that i can use later when to phone is jailbroken.
I saw there is a new release of the redsnow version, it that useable with this iphone? or do i must i use a older version of the redsnow.
And how to unlock the phone, she is using KPN carrier, its dutch carrier here in the holland.

how to make a full back-up so i can restore the iphone4 so se dont loose any media on the phone
is it better to use a custom firmware or what???

Use Absinthe 2.0 to jailbreak.

I think your only option for unlocking will be Gevey

is it safe to use absinth2.0 and ultrasnow isent good enough?
uhm and how about the back-up of the media? is this gona be losed? or what? i dont want to be everththing loosed?

Its better to restore the phone for better stability but you can just run absinth2.0 without restoring but could cause issues.
If you go into settings and look for iCloud. set that up, it is a back up of all the data through the internet with the first 5gb free. you can save contacts, apps, photos, calendar, reminders, bookmarks, notes, and mail thats currently on the phone. Wait for it to finish and your good to rock and jailbreak.
PS.. Make sure you check everything on you want to save. Some are default to OFF.
However music you CANT!!! but just resync it to the computer through wifi or usb to iPhone and put music back on that way.

what is the best way, i am now using the icloud services, only it takes abou 1 hour to store the back-up.
Is there is a other way or just this one?

when this is done, i can use absinth, and a unlocker for my carrier?

you can use absinth now if you want.
but its reccomended you do a full restore through itunes then use absinth. Once you have absinth you can go through cydia for a special app that supposedly unlocks the device for you. i never done it and dont know what you need from their.

The best thing of all is, when the jailbreak was done, my niece her phone was unlocked ? se had immidiatly service of her carrier.
And the back-up files are stay like before, so i will delete the icloud storage for now.

Is there a tutorial how to use iblacklist? because i think i am doing something wrong...
