HELP can't update or restore iphone 3gs 5.1 jailbroken

When I try to update the iphone I get "an unknown error occured" 3194 error. I can't update to ios 5.1.1 or restore either. I'm currently on a tethered jailbreak.

Have you tried restoring in DFU?

No, I will try that. You put it in DFU and then just restore from itunes as normal?

Did your iPhone have the iPad baseband?

Try making a custom restore then pwn and dfu restore

Ok, it worked after I unchecked the "set hosts to Cydia on exit" box in TinyUmbrella. I'm not sure if this is something I did or a default setting?
