Downgrade clarifications

Guys:
Currently i have a 3GS on 5.1 baseband 6.15 jailbroken and unlocked tethered of course. I ran Tinyumbrella, hit save SHSH and ended up with two files on my desktop about 5.82 kb each
-2040664519980-iphone2,1-5.1.shsh
-2040664519980-iphone2,1-4.1.shsh

I checked the 3GS it is on new bootrom and am wanting to downgrade this biatch to 5.0.1 so i can have untethered jbreak.



Can I just proceed with ifaith and do the downgrade? am I missing something?


any directions is helpful.

You need the SHSH for 5.0.1 before you can downgrade. And since apple has stopped signing them there's no way for you to downgrade

thanks for taking the time, hopefully a untethered jb comes out soon if not i go to 4.1.
How is 4.1 on 3gs anyway? i have never been on it, this is my first encounter with iphone
