I just got my iPhone 4. its Sprint 5.0.1. I jailbroke it with redsn0w. Now it won't send text messages.
I have also downloaded several programs from cydia that dont seem to work. you click on them and they open and immediately close. those programs are: iRealSMS, ExtremeWiFi, iReboot, CToggle. Can they be fixed or deleted? As for that...how do you delete programs downloaded with Cydia? i tried to hold them down till they shake then click the x but no x appears.
I would also like to be able to upload my mp3 library from my blackberry to be used on my iphone. can that be done?
Can my gmail account be realtime or can it only be updated every 15 min?
I've done soft resets and rebooted it through the redsn0w reboot program....I'm lost and frustrated!
I got lost reading this, ok which kind of txt message SMS or iMessage?
The apps don't always with all iOS did you make sure to read the discription it usually labels which iOS are compatible.
If you push email too often the battery drains quicker that's why it's limited.
Songs can be synced through iTunes.
if you want to delete apps from cydia
open cydia
manage
packages
search for the ones you want to remove
tap on them
modify
remove

To delete stuff from cydia go to manage>packages>tap on package you want to uninstall>tap modify>remove>confirm
If you have your mp3 library on your computer as well you can add it into iTunes and sync it to your phone
Your gmail account can have push mail or you can set it to fetch manually every 15 minutes
What happens when you try to send a text message? does it just say sending failed? what about imessages?
ok, so I've solved 3 of the 4 problems. Deleting stuff through Cydia, texting and mp3 into iTunes and then to the iphone are all fixed. I still have a problem with my emails and facebook actually pushing alerts/emails to my phone. any insight there? I have it set to "push" in the Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calender>Fetch New Data menu. Is there something else to adjust?
Make sure push notifications are enabled for the app.. go to settings>notifications scroll down to the app you want, tap it, make sure alert style is set to banner
