stuck in emergency calls only

i found a iphone a1349 and the only screen that shows says emergency calls only not sure how to fix this any help appreciated plus when i try to connect to itunes it says usb device not recongnized thanks

because its not unlocked i mean that it only accepts SIM card from official Apple carrier contracters like T-Mobile, AT&T etc ... to get out of emergency cal screen you need gevey SIM or you can jailbreak using custom iOS 5.1 (see first thread in sticky !!) and then choose ACTIVATED one download and jailbreak you can then enter the phone but if the baseband is updated then u can still use SIM card you must use the official SIM card of a carrier that has contract with apple
