    Iphone 3GS NEW BOOTROOM Help

    Hi,

I am new to this forum and I would really appreciate if you guys can clarify this to me. Ok I got a new Iphone 3gs from Apple for a replacement. I took the phone to a local shop to unlock it for T-mobile. The guy said it can't be unlock and If he tries to update it with IPad base-band it will brick your phone. But few weeks later I saw a guy with the same brand new Iphone 3gs, and to my surprise, he managed to downgrade it to 4.1 with an Ipad baseband. Is there a way to unlock this phone without bricking the phone?

Your iphone 3GS new bootroom will be brick (No All problem) if you update it to ipad baseband!

If you try flashing 6.15 Ipad baseband it totally erases the chip with the unwanted side effect of erasing imei, bt, wifi. Its better you go for a permanent unlock.

The boot rom isn't the issue the the manufacture date of the iPhones certain ones made after week 35 2011 likely have new hardware inside so flashing it with something incompatible would damage it.
