The spotlight feature on iOS is one of the few things on the platform that I rarely use, but as Apple likes to say, there’s an app for that. That app, however, is actually a jailbreak tweak by the name of WebSpot, and it turns the boring spotlight feature into something much more useful for me: a webpage.

WebSpot replaces the spotlight feature on your springboard with a webpage of your choice. This can be pretty useful if you find yourself in the same position as I was.

I did, however, notice that the tweak plays much nicer with websites that have a mobile version, so you don’t have to scroll side to side to see the full page (unless you’re an iPad user).

The tweak comes with a few settings you can configure including whether or not you want to the toolbar and address bar to show. You also have the option to choose if you want the page to reload every time you view it.

You can find the WebSpot tweak for free on the BigBoss repo. Check it out and let us know what you think!
