Native SMS on the new iPad
Hi everyone!
Can anyone advise me if there are any solutions to enable/allow native SMS capability on the new iPad. i'm from Manila and use a local sim card, with regular voice and unlimited data plan from one of the local carriers here. i previously used this sim on my other mobile phone but decided to cut it into microsim size for the new iPad. i used to use Swirly SMS with my iPad 1, but it doesn't seem to work now with the new iPad. Are there any other apps i can use? Thanks in advance!

You can't get the native sms application, but there are many alternate text apps in the App Store. Kik is one of the better ones.
When you say "native" you mean the number associated with the sim you're using? I don't believe this is possible on a Verizon Ipad is it? If so, I'd love to find a way to text/call from my Verizon #. That's the only setback to using my Verizon sim in it.
I'm sure I can use GV and a VOIP app but not everyone has that number.
