    Questions on Jailbreak and Upgrades

    Hi guys,

I have an iPod Touch 4G, Jailbroken using evasi0n and on 6.0.1 (second hand). I noticed that there is no jailbreak for 6.1.3 so decided to stay on 6.0.1 and jailbreak.
My question is, if/when the 6.1.3 jailbreak is released, what is the process of updating my iPod and jailbreak?
Do I have to update and lose my jailbreak apps, then jailbreak again?
If I update to 6.1.3 now, with no jailbreak available (as of posting) what would happen to my iDevice. Would it just update and remove the jailbreak?

Sorry for the mass of questions, I'm new to this.

    Thanks

The actual process for the 6.1.3 jailbreak hasn't happened yet so its hard to say what the process will be. If you do update, there are apps on Cydia that will let you backup your Cydia apps and settings, which you would use before updating. And yes, updating will remove your jailbreak.

Ok, that seems fine. Any names of those backup apps?

Openbackup is a free app you can find in Cydia that will let you backup your Cydia apps and most settings in iTunes and in the cloud. Its what I use for many of the phones I've worked with, but there are others out there as well.
