Hey I'm new to the forums and I hope this is in the right section but here it goes.
I just upgraded to an Iphone 4s from an android phone and I was searching around the web to see if there is any way to transfer my SMS from my Android to my Iphone 4s. Even with hours of research the closest I can get is to back up my SMS to my gmail on my android and access them on my Iphone but it's not a part of the Messaging app. Is there any Iphone app that lets you Import the backed up SMS from my gmail directly to my SMS "folder" so I can see them in the messaging app? If not is it even possible to transfer my SMS from my Android to my Iphone without having to read them off my email?
Thank you in advance.
I am sorry for the late reply but just found Backuptrans Android SMS to iPhone Transfer can do this. Hope this can help other uses.
Best luck!
TxtArchive can be used to import sms from Android phones to iphone.....
How can it be done with TxtArchive?
Go into iTunes, click on your iPhone in the under devices section on the left hand side.
Then you will see all the options for configuring your iPhone on the right of the screen.
Select 'info' (after summary) and check the box "synch sms with" and then choose google text messages.
Enter your gmail details and sync the iPhone in iTunes and all your SMS should transfer(iphone-mac.com/how-to-transfer-iphone-sms-from-iphone-to-pc.html) no problem
