How can I backup the apps and movies on my IPad to my PC?

Can anyone help I would like to backup all the apps and movies installed on my Ipad, but it won't do that, instead it clears/ erase evrything...if I update..please help..

You can backup your iPad through iTunes, then you can restore from backup.

Right click your device in iTunes and there will be a backup option

i can transfer your purchased movies to pc ,but if your movies not purchased on App Store on your iTunes account , i should google some acticle about "how to backup apps and movies from ipad to pc " .

If you're jailbroke and know what folder they're saved to, you can SSH into your Ipad and copy them manually.

First connect your iPad with iTunes. Sync your all data with iTunes and copy it and store in computer. Plug your iPad into your computer and uncheck all the apps, and sync it will remove all the apps. If there are apps on it that are not in your iTunes library it should prompt you to move them to the PC. Once you have everything backup up and on the PC do a restore using iTunes to do it. Do not format it. If you format it the iOS will not be installed making your iPad an external hard drive.
