Hello guys, I know this is a new community but seeing its creators I guess is excellent.
The thing is my cousin went to live to Australia for 5 years due to his company and gave me his white iPhone 4S (CDMA) which is with Verizon (MC677LL). I just need to unlock it from its carrier so I can use it with any other carrier. I assume that's possible.
This is its info:
Version: 4.2.8 (8E401)
Model: MC677LL
Modem Firmware: 1.0.06
I hope with that you can help me.
Best regards.
Hey there,
At the moment the phone can be SIM unlocked to work with international sim cards. There is criteria that has to be met and if you meet it, Verizon's global team will unlock it. Unfortunately, you can't put a US Sim card in it. The phone wil say it can't be activated.
CDMA iPhone's have no sim, could try to soft flash the iPhone for a different carrier if the iPhone was reported stolen you would have to use it in a different country.
I just need steps to do whatever I need to do. The phone is not stolen, please I know you guys can read, stick to what I say. I never said GSM, SIM or stolen phone. I'm not complaining, but certainly answer with nothing related with a post is like don't answer it.
Thanks anyway.
I'll keep waiting for a more deep answer.

All 4s's have sims CDMA company or not. If you have been with Verizon or know someone that's been with them in good standing for at least two months then they will unlock it for you to use with international sims

Your only going to be able to flash it to a different company rather a specific company it won't be a general unlock as with GSM models.
