can i sim unlock softbank's iphone4?(japan version)
I‘ve just bought a new iphone4,for the sim was locked ,i can't use any functions,is there anyway to sim unlock japan's version?
Same question here. Is it possible? I would hate to get myself an Iphone just to discover it won't work in my home country.
Can you tell me more about that cable solution?
I will stay for one year in Japan, so in this period I don't really need an unlock, but after that it becomes necessary.
Any idea when this will come out? I'm really interested.
As I said, as long as there is a possibility to unlock the Iphone 4 from Japan in one year from now, I will gladly get one as it is relatively cheap over here

I am surely interested as well, have an softbank locked iphone4 which is factory reset so I don't know how to activate it right now... any ideas?
I have an 4S softbank locked, any solution for it?
Hi, I have an iPhone 4 bought at Softbank in Oct 2010. It is carrier locked to Softbank but I have it working on the 02 network in the UK. I am absolutely pants with technology but have managed to do it. Here is how:
Download limera on iTunes on your pc (follow the instructions)
This allows you to install the cydia app on your phone
I bought the gevey sim ultra from applenberry.com, online shop in the USA. They shipped it to the UK really quickly for £29.99.
I ordered an 02 micro sim, just a pay as you go, on the Internet.
Cut the sim to size, pop it into the gevey ultra sim, put it into my phone and followed the instructions on the applenberry website.
I had to try the unlock three times but got it working.
That was a week ago and as long as I don't switch my phone off, it has stayed unlocked.
I am still amazed that it works!
Hope this has helped.
