Post App suggestions (cool things that the iStore won't let you have)

Please add and comment suggestions for apps in this thread!

Here are some of my ideas:

    1) 2G/3G toggling based on running app.

Tasker is a great program but AFAIK it can't really switch from 2 to 3G on the fly
This should help any user greatly improve the lifetime!

    2) video calling - the real deal
If Apple plans to push face time forward, it's most likely we're quite far away form a classical video calling feature (via the carrier)
But I believe this could be implemented on jailbroken devices with open-source code (most manufacturers have released theirs)

Please leave your own suggestions in this thread

I'm not going to comment on the ApStorre restrictions as it wouldnt do any change since they really dont care.

for the 1st ideia you may come to a few problems, I started using AUTO3G for a while: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1003747
...but gave up on it, since there was a short, but important, loss of network when switching from 2g to 3g, it didnt lost any incomming calls, but it was annoying... :/

The second is long overdue, as many other important details on iOS... but to be honest in my country I dont see it beeing used much, because of the high price of mobile internet and the not-so-easy-to-use while walking, not to mention there has to be a specific reason to show your face... so, like FaceTime, its not easy to find another person on the other end that wants to see my face, spend the mobile internet, has a mobile phone that has a front camera and wants to show his face...

But now that you mentioned, there are a few things that iPhone should really learn from windows Mobile...

UBS internet share (Computer to iPhone, the other way around already exists).
Lockscreen widgets (that actually work on all iOS's)
Easy Bluttooth share of photos and other files with non-iphones.
    Save contacts to SIM.
Export/import contact list backup from a file (CSV?) without loosing the contacts pictures.
Total backup (like norton ghost or spb clone) of the main drive to a file with easy restore.

I remenber that when I swapped my Touch Dual by my iPhone, there were some more annoyances that seem basic for a daily use... :/

I am not sure about all of you, but I personally would like a swype keyboard. I have seen it on the Andriod and though it was cool. Yet it is nowhere to be found for the iPhone. I know of an app that has swype but it is just that an app and it doesn't integrate well with SMS, email, or Safari.

That's an awesome idea Would love to be able to swype on my iPad But i haven't seen any keyboard replacements (really) for IOS, One keyboard I did like the look of was BlindType which looked amazing and was demoed on Android and iPhone, but now Google have bought their company so there is no news whether it's coming to IOS.

I posted an idea in this thread - but unless there's someone willing to do what I guess is A LOT of work on both iOS and Windows Mobile/Android I don't think it'll get far.

Flash - I know there's Frash but it's still in beta at the moment and only seems to work for flash ads. Would be great if more devs got involved with this.

I would like an application that copies all the call details to iCal (Calendar) similar to what King Fetty's CallCalendar does for WinMo devices.

Essentially this stores the call start time, end time, duration and name of the other party if they are in the contact list, for both incoming and outgoing calls with an option to select if one wants to copy missed call details too.

As an enhancement we could also copy all incoming and outgoing SMS messages with relevant details to the calendar or in a separate folder in the main email account.

Yeah me too. I really would like full flash, that doesn't crash safari.
