Location based apps

Hello

I have been using location based apps for a while and they seem to have the exact detail of places, venues, near my current location. All of them have google logo on their map. However when I open google maps on the iphone, I dont see these places!!... How come, the other apps using the same google maps have more places in them??Are they sharing any common api's?? How do I implement the same in my app??

Have you thought of using a ready made solution? Check out QuickBlox (quickblox.com), they might help you. They have great Location module. I've used the QuickBlox Chat module for my app - it works great and I didn't spend much time on coding.
